Approaching many generations of constantly changing audiences, in addition to promoting its original elements, Traditional Arts in general and Tuong in particular need to be understood, innovated and flexible.

SON HAU - BEYOND THE MOUNTAIN marks an important milestone for XplusX Studio, on the journey to bring traditional art back strongly to local cultural life, while opening up continuous dialogue with contemporary audience.

For the first time, we - as art organizers and practitioners - experience the timeless story/tragedy of Son Hau, in interaction with a particularly intimate space - a children playground in the heart of an old residential area built in the second half of the last century, and with the people, most of whom were born and raised here...
